Symptoms

The following error is displayed during site publishing:

Error:

Details:
Configuration error: Define the order in which the default documents (default.htm, default.aspx, etc.) will be used to respond the browser request.

Cause

Such error occures when the order of default documents for the publishing domain does not respond to the defined one. Thus, Web browser could not assign the site home directory document to display.

Resolution

The order of default documents needed to be changed via Plesk Control Panel. In the Plesk Control Panel choose the publishing domain, click on the Web Directory tool in Hosting group, then Preferences. The order of default documents could be changed in the Default documents search order box. Use Up button to make Default.htm, Default.aspx, Default.asp documents to be on the top.
